Numbers in English.
It is important to learn how to pronounce and write well the numbers in English. Also, how to say correctly the operations of addition, subtraction, multiplication and division. Here you can see some examples.
resta = subtraction
multiplicación = multiplication
división = division
uno más cinco = one plus five
uno menos cinco = one minus five
uno por cinco = one multiplied by five / multiply one by 5 / one by five / one times 5
uno dividido entre cinco = one divided by fiveWe are also interested to know that zero is often pronounced like the letter "o" to say a phone number or a number with decimals. Therefore to say £ 7.05, one can say it perfectly as seven "o" five. When we talk about results of matches(football, tennis,...) it's said to nil, and if you say only the number 0, it can be said as naught.
Another interesting fact about numbers in English is that the four-digit numbers ending in two zeros, such as 1500, 2600, 4400 ... can be said like if you would multiply the first two digits by one hundred:
1500 = fifteen hundred
2600 = twenty six hundred
4400 = forty four hundred
